Refund Policy

Summary

• All sales are final. No refunds.
• Buying a bigger plan later doesn’t refund or credit the earlier purchase.
• Each Mac gets a 7-day free trial with every feature, so you can try before you buy.
• Rights the law gives you that can’t be waived are not affected.
• Charged twice, or paid and the license never appeared? Email me within 14 days and I will fix it.
• Payments are handled by Polar, the Merchant of Record.

All sales are final

Plans cost $2.99 for up to 2 macs, $4.99 for up to 5 macs, $9.99 for unlimited macs, once. Because the prices are small, the license is delivered immediately and there is a free trial first, I don’t offer refunds, including for change of mind or if you stop using the app.

Upgrades

If you buy a bigger plan later, it replaces the smaller one and your account gets the larger number of Macs. The earlier purchase is not refunded, credited or discounted. If you think you will need more Macs, the bigger plan costs less than buying twice.

Try before you buy

Every Mac gets a 7-day free trial with every feature, and no card is needed. Purchases are not open yet, and during early access everything is free. Use it on your own Macs and make sure it works for you before you pay for anything.

Your rights under the law

Where the law of your country gives you a right that can’t be waived (for example, a remedy for a faulty product, or other statutory consumer rights), this policy does not affect that right.

Buyers in the EU and UK

A Updately license is digital content delivered immediately when you buy. By completing your purchase, you request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery begins.

Billing mistakes

If you were charged more than once for the same purchase, or you paid and the license never appeared on your account, email support@updately.dev within 14 days of the charge. Include the email address of your Updately account, the one you used at checkout, and your order or receipt number. I will put the license on your account or have the duplicate charge reversed. This is fixing an error, not a refund.

Chargebacks

Payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh), which acts as Merchant of Record, so chargebacks and payment disputes are handled through Polar. If a charge is refunded or reversed, the license it paid for is revoked and your Macs lose access. If something is wrong, please email me first: it is usually quicker to sort out directly.
